Route notes · Voice to arrangement

Start with the vocal. Build the band around it.

Start with the performance you want the arrangement to follow. The tool uses your musical direction to create a new backing arrangement from that recording.

  1. 01

    Upload a clean vocal

Choose an MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, or WebM file up to 25 MB. A dry vocal gives the arrangement the clearest reference.

  2. 02

    Describe the backing

Name the genre, mood, instruments, energy, and production texture. Say what should stay restrained and where the track should open up.

  3. 03

    Generate, listen, revise

Create an arrangement draft, check how it supports the phrasing, then adjust one direction at a time. Review the result before release.

Four starting points · One vocal first

When the voice arrives before the production

Use a clear vocal take as the anchor, then test an arrangement direction without pretending the first draft is the final mix.

Vocal demo

Give a dry take a musical setting

Build a first backing around a lead vocal so you can hear whether the song wants sparse keys, a full band, or a different pulse.

Voice memo

Move a melody sketch beyond the phone

Use a clear sung idea as the reference and describe the arrangement that would help it become a fuller demo.

Songwriters

Compare arrangements from one vocal source

Use one source take to try a warmer acoustic bed, a tighter electronic groove, or a more cinematic build, then compare each result with the original.

Creator audio

Frame a spoken or sung idea

Draft an intro, theme, or supporting arrangement around your own recording, then review the balance before publishing.

Add Instrumental questions

What the tool changes, what it needs, and where your own review still matters.

What does Add Instrumental do?

It generates a new backing arrangement around the vocal recording you upload. You describe the style and instrumentation; the result is an arrangement draft built to accompany that performance. It does not extract vocals from a finished mixed song.

Which audio files can I upload?

You can upload MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, or WebM audio up to 25 MB. A focused vocal with little room noise, reverb, or existing accompaniment gives the tool a clearer reference.

Is Add Instrumental free?

No. Anyone can explore the page, but generation requires sign-in and an active Pro or Ultra plan. Pro uses 100 credits per run; Ultra includes each run at 0 credits.

Will Add Instrumental keep my original vocal unchanged?

Not necessarily. Your uploaded vocal guides the result, but Add Instrumental generates a new version rather than guaranteeing an untouched vocal stem. The output can reinterpret the voice, timing, or texture and may introduce artifacts. If exact preservation matters, keep the original vocal and compare or mix it with the generated result in a DAW.

Can I use the generated arrangement commercially?

Commercial use depends on the license terms for your current plan and export. You must also have the right to upload and use the vocal recording. Review the applicable terms before releasing or monetizing a track.

How do I get a better backing arrangement?

Describe the genre, tempo feel, core instruments, energy curve, and the role of the vocal. Start with one clear direction, listen to how the backing follows the phrasing, and change one variable for the next version.
